Crux Academy for Young Magical Individuals was founded on the principles of justice, friendship and salvation for all, good or evil. Nestled in the middle of the kingdom of Galactica, the school's large campus caters to a wide number of individuals gifted with a certain predisposition for love and ability in their hearts. With a long, proud tradition of cultivating and nurturing the multiverse's strongest magical individuals, being invited to attend Crux Academy is one of the highest honors there is.
Crux Academy offers a wide variety of classes, extra curricular activities and clubs on its campus, a list that is constantly growing and changing as the needs of the student body dictate. Students within the academy are taught basic subjects important to the typical do-gooder—Public Speaking and Dramatic Speechifying; Finishing Moves and Timing; Basic Dynamic Combat; and, of course, Psychology. In addition to this, students are required to take a number of advanced courses in their particular area of study and expertise before they are allowed to graduate.
Students are provided any and all amenities needed to study and do their very best. Dorm rooms are issued at one for every two students, and while the dormitory buildings themselves are co-ed, rooms are not. Companions are permitted to stay with their master, or, if they do not have one, are provided their own room. Each floor offers two open living spaces, with a kitchen, seating and ample entertainment in each. Student are encouraged to use these spaces for socialization, when they are not afforded time to go into the city proper. Books, supplies and other related materials are provided at no expense to the student.
Uniforms are also provided by the school, along with a brooch that must be worn at all times, either as a pin or a tie clip. This brooch seems to have interesting properties, as it allows the user to be able to tap into their latent powers without the need to transform. This ability only seems to work within the halls of the school, however.
There are stories told as well that, at certain times during the day, students have found themselves accidentally (or intentionally) wandering into the halls of another, truly sinister looking school. It would seem that the brooch issued has strange properties within that space as well, changing the user's uniform to help them blend in. Students who wish to investigate whether or not this is true must be careful, however, as this is where their brooch's abilities end. If they get into a tight spot, they will have no other choice but to transform in order to defend themselves. While faculty refuses to deny such rumors of any of this being true, rumors about this strange phenomenon still travel through the halls of Crux Academy.
The current headmistress, Lady Palida, has done her best to bring together the brightest minds and hearts in the field. Holding her position for over 200 years, she insists upon greeting every new arrival personally. Those who have studied under her tutelage have come to describe her as the most progressive headmistress to date, both for her stances on proper education and training, as well as her willingness to accept any and all who are willing to open their hearts. However, she has received harsh criticism within the kingdom of Galactica by some of its more conservative residents, citing that she is perhaps too soft on her student body and staff. Some wonder whether Lady Palida is being honest about her reasoning, or if the former magical girl has something to hide...

Located in a small pocket dimension, the Nebulae Institute of the Dark Arts occupies the same space as Crux Academy. Students selected to learn within their hallowed halls are few and far between, and only the most nefarious of evil doers are accepted; their alumni are among some of the most notable villains within the multiverse. The school also hosts a vocational and mentoring program for monsters, many of which go out into the multiverse to their post-graduate studies in fields such as City Wreckage Planning and Uncivil Service.
Class sizes for Nebulae Institute are notably small, allowing for more individual attention between teachers and students. Offering a wide variety of classes varying from Dramatic Monologuing, Diabolical Dreaming and Scheming as well as a number of Leadership seminars, Nebulae Institute strives to cater to the needs of the modern super villain as they change and evolve. Students are encouraged to join or take over preexisting clubs around the campus to further practice their conquest potential.
All expenses are paid for during one's stay at Nebulae Institute, including food, supplies, and room and board. Dorm rooms allow up to two students, with ample space for companions should they want to stay with their masters, and are not co-ed. Each floor hosts two common areas for students to socialize, along with kitchenettes, seating and other forms of entertainment to use when students are not able to venture into the city.
In addition to living space, each student is given a standard issue school uniform, as well as a strange brooch, to be worn on their lapel. Shining with an ominous, pulsating violet light, this item allows the student to be able to harness their powers in the space of the school with no difficulty. However, this only functions within the school itself, and students will need to tap into their own inherent abilities once outside of campus.
There are ample opportunities to leave the school itself, and venture into Galactica. A dimensional warp way exists near the gates of the school, and students are encouraged to use this to practice what they have learned in class. There are also rumors of places that Nebulae Institute and Crux Academy intersect, and that the crafty student may be able to find a way onto the other campus. The brooch that they wear will help change their uniform accordingly, however, they will not be afforded any of the other added perks of its power. They will need to tread carefully, if they do at all.
The headmaster, Dark Lord Yutu, gained his position by vanquishing the former headmaster, and while he is less readily available than much of the faculty, is overall well liked by much of the faculty and students. Supposedly coming from humble beginnings, not much is known about the headmaster before he came to this position. Pioneering the Vocational School for Minor Monsters, as well as the community outreach program, Headmaster Yutu has placed more villains and monsters into positions of power than any other headmaster before him.

The Kingdom of Galactica is a dream-like city with seemingly no end. While much of this marvelous metropolis looks as if it came from a story book, citizens from all around the multiverse choose to call it home. As a result of this, quite a few modern amenities have made their way into Galactica itself, including an open-air shopping mall, a music store, a wide variety of fast food restaurants, and any number of other eclectic things.
However, Galactica has an unfortunate monster problem that plagues them on a somewhat regular basis. While those former Crux Academy students taking resident do their best to counteract this strange pest problem, oftentimes current students are also asked to help, as a way to balance the problem. Likewise, Nebulae Institute students are asked to keep this balance.
