Kyouko Sakura became a magical girl at the age of 12, when she made a contract with an extraterrestrial being called Kyubey. This contract granted her one wish in exchange for her agreeing to fight witches as a magical girl. Kyouko wished that people would listen to her father, a preacher who preached outside of the traditional bible. Kyouko initially wanted to fight for justice, and the good of mankind, but she lost this idealism when her father found out about her wish. He accused her of being the very thing she fought against, and killed himself and her family. Kyouko's wish to help her family ultimately destroyed it, in the end.
After that, Kyouko vowed to only fight for herself, because selfless actions just wind up hurting the people you love. She fought selfishly and alone for years, until she met Sayaka Miki, another magical girl. Kyouko wanted to keep Sayaka from making the same mistakes she made. Kyouko was unsuccessful, however, and wound up sacrificing herself to save Sayaka. This, too, failed.
Kyouko has been brought to Crux Academy post-sacrifice. She is working on her first formal training as a magical girl, and how to fight for justice without causing more pain. Her weapon of choice is a spear, and her special skill is illusions. Kyouko is now in her second year at the academy, and is sixteen years old.
A little boy crazy, a little tempermental, a little bit of a slacker, Yohko is more conscientious and dedicated than most 16 year old girls might normally be. Yohko is the 108th generation of demon slayers in the Mano family, a fate assigned to all of the women of her bloodline that remain virgins until their first official day as a demon hunter. It is her job to keep demons from wreaking havoc and keep sleeping demons and spirits from being disturbed.
While she didn't exactly ask to be transferred to Crux Academy, it was insisted upon by her grandmother. Not only is she jealous of all of the other girls that have sparkly pink magic, she's also jealous that they never seem to get their magical girl ensembles cut open as much as she does!
Megumi is no stranger to magical girls - being a Sign user, she already has experience tapping into powers sourced from her own sense of identity. The heads of Eden's Corvius Academy sent her to Crux to further hone her powers... but whether she properly adheres to the school's standards is still in question.
Her sign is Radiance, which grants her heat and light based powers. She'll be a force of brilliant destruction in battle, rest assured.

Neptune is a ‘transfer student’ from Haven Academy, another combat school in the universe of Remnant. Out there, magical powers are usually called Semblances. Neptune’s Semblance isn’t terribly flashy, or indeed that noticeable at all; it’s an uncanny ability to predict the movement paths of bullets, knives, swords, and other weapons. Compared to some other Semblances like pyrokinesis or detonating clones, he sees it as kinda lame. However, it does mean that he’s really good with his weapon. Said weapon is a highly technical instrument, able to transform between an energy gun, a trident, and a guan dao, and mainly uses blue electricity to power its attacks. The trident and guan dao forms can also be electrified, but in Galactica, this only works when he's transformed. Out of costume, the trident and guan dao are just regular polearms, and the gun is totally useless.
Another aspect of the AU, which hasn’t been confirmed or denied in canon, is that Neptune is a humanoid creature called a Faunus with physical traits like a fish’s. He has gills on his torso and blue scaly patches on his arms and legs. However, Neptune goes to great lengths to hide this, mainly due to a crippling phobia of water among other reasons.
Princess of the Blue Sky Kingdom, Hime became a magical girl to save her homeland after she accidentally opened the Axia Box. She might be a bit of a whiner and kind of a brat, but Hime's bound and determined to help stop the Phantom Empire and save the world.
She's come to Crux Academy post canon and while she's down-right certain she'll be able to make new friends and become an even better magical girl here, she's kind of anxious about the fact that everybody she knows is back at home. Somebody please help keep this child from backsliding into shyness.
The latest in a long line of heroes bearing the soul of a great Hero from times past. Link is a little different than many of his classmates, lacking the high flying acrobatics and sheer magical might of many of his classmates and his magical transformation is little more than a quick change into a green tunic and chainmail shirt with a flash of light. But what he does have is a sacred sword that repels evil magic and boundless pockets to hold the veritable arsenal passed down to him from Heroes of the past.
This Link grew up an orphan on the outskirts of a small village before Destiny Called and led him to the steps of Crux Academy. Despite adapting to living near a big city he's still very much a country boy at heart up with the sun and spending his days outdoors whenever he can. He doesn't talk much and he can be kind of serious but he's a pretty nice and helpful guy who won't back down from any threat the powers of darkness dream up.
Chosen for the titanical task of protecting the Earth as a magical girl (which will obviously center around Japan), Konata Izumi was a student from the Saitama Prefecture, chosen to be a magical girl thanks to the incompetence of the magical bureaucratic system in charge of picking one for each city.
Briefly driven mad with power upon defeating a tentacle monster, Konata got bored with being a magical girl and slacked around while ignoring the monsters of the week for the most part, and demoting her wand from its purpose of befriending lovecraftian monsters to a back-scratcher. Unless somebody threatens to attack the local manga store.
With her transfer into a new school, Konata Izumi is finally threatened with the propect of doing actual work.
A shy and withdrawn highschooler who really doesn't consider herself magical girl material, SO YOU CAN IMAGINE SHE'S A LITTLE BIT STUNNED TO BE HERE. She shrinks away from the idea of fighting a little, and eventually finds her powers developing more along the lines of healing and support magic versus out and out offensive attacks.
Ban is a surprisingly gentle, and quiet and nice person considering that he looks like a yankee. Trasferring here in his second year from his hometown, Ban was given a chance to become a Precure, like he secretly dreams of being. Adopting the name Cure Fire, he is an Unofficial Precure, dressed in what basically amounts to a masculine Precure outfit. He doesn't have a fairy, taking the same status as say, Ayumi being a phantom Precure. His attacks are Fire Storm and Fire Punch and Fire Kick.
When Kirino joined the Raimon soccer team, he wasn't anticipating becoming a magical boy. Fate has a funny way of working sometimes. However, after uncovering his Keshin Armed abilities, he was soon brought to Crux Academy, much to his surprise. His abilities tend towards defense and support, but if he needs to get his lumps in on the monster of the week, he can.
Born Princess Hope Delight Towa of a country in an alternate universe, Hope Kingdom, Towa's own impatience to be a fine princess led her to being maniuplated by the forces of evil. Having learned to take life step by step, however, she's gained the power to transform into Cure Scarlet and is working towards becoming a Grand Princess and restoring her country to its former glory.
She still has trouble treating everyone like equals on occasion, however. And she's more sheltered than she thinks...

She cares deeply for justice and doing the right thing above all else, even though it sometimes takes a toll on her.
Coming from a family of botanists, Tsubomi's life was painfully lonely until an emotional breakdown convinced her parents to stop their old job and move to a new town, Kibogahana. Here, she ended up becoming the magical girl Cure Blossom and not only defended the world against the Desertrians, but also overcome her emotional hangups and become a stronger person.
She has been accepted into Crux Academy to not only improve her magical girl skills, but also to help in forming stronger bonds and become an even better person.
Scouted well before her super suit was designed, and her original power set intact, Kamala hides her identity as Carol Danvers, the powerful Ms Marvel. She's taken up her name in a fit of worry, and basically stays as Kamala for the most part unless danger arises. Then the strong and beautiful Carol steps in. Or at least Kamala hopes so.
TSUBASA KAZANARI ☆the other pe teacher and occasional music assistant
Idol singer by day, mighty sentinel by night. Tsubasa used to be the archetypical little sister masquerading as a cool senpai. Now she's taken up the mantle of teacher.
Somewhat less gay than the other teachers. Not that that says much.
Already old when Shining Crux Palida took over the role of headmistress of the academy- Draco, as he's come to be known as humans cannot possibly pronounce his true name, recalls a time when dragons soared the skies, magic filled the world and dragons were teachers and guardians of mankind. A golden age that came to an end when darkness settled over the world and some men began to hunt dragons for sport. Now, dragons are rare creatures indeed and some rumors whisper that the one taking up residence near the Academy may be the last.
He still holds to the old ways though and hopes to pass his wisdom down to a new generation of noble and good heroes, teaching many subjects although he specializes in history and astronomy, and although he's technically on the Crux Academy staff he has been known to take on Nebulae students who come his way wishing to learn. Despite his fearsome appearance, and an old, unspoken sin that weighs on his soul, he's quite friendly and good natured... after all, what dragon wouldn't be with so many lovely young maidens around? Especially those who appreciate his singing.
Just don't come around his cave looking to earn a reputation as a dragonslayer. He's still picking bits of Sir Eglamore out of his teeth.
PLAGUE KNIGHT ☆potions teacher, part time school nurse...?
A knight from a faraway kingdom whose alchemical skills are unparalleled. Able to perform incredible feats of transmutation and transformation, it's likely that given time and experimentation he'll be able to solve any problem a student brings to him.
Don't be fooled by Plague Knight's diminutive stature; he more than makes up for his small size with his delight in making incredibly large explosions (and his unerring accuracy with bombs, especially if he's insulted). A scientist with a taste for chaos, he views the students of Crux as potential reagents likely to react in all kinds of ways, and thus teaches the values of teamwork (...though very heavily couched in potion-brewing metaphor) as well as traditional alchemy. Though he might be fragile, he's in no way unused to the arduous work of combat.
Though he's been knighted for his good deeds in faraway lands, has turned over a new leaf in order to continue his scientific studies in somewhere that isn't an underground basement and was recruited as an alchemy teacher for this purpose, he really does seem more than a little out of place in Crux...
A creation of Dark Fall, Michiru begins as a loyal servant to Lord Akudaikaan along with her sister Kaoru. Lacking in human qualities like love and friendship, she initially has a very dark view of the world, desiring only to destroy the world. After befriending Saki Hyuuga and Mia Mishou, however, Michiru's views begin to change, and she and her sister switch sides, sacrificing themselves for the sake of their friends in the final battle of the series. Thanks to the power of the spirits, Michiru and her sister are revived and are able to live their lives as normal girls, as evidenced by the finale a year later.
Michiru is capable of both offense and defense, and has powers based in moonlight, having inherited Cure Bright's powers after the finale. She isn't quite a proper Pretty Cure, but functions as one just the same. She's been attending the academy for several months.
Konami is an A-rank Boarder Agent. She's use to fighting and thoroughly enjoys it. Confident in her skills there aren't too many that can stand up with the fiery attacker from Tamakoma Branch. Despite her abilities and experience in close combat; she is extremely gullible and childish. When she isn't being picked on by her teammates, fighting Neighbors or yelling at someone for eating her sweets... she is here at the Academy polishing her magical girl skills! And boy do those need some work. Konami is still adjusting to the idea of magic vs Trion. She isn't too interested in the academic side of the school but sticks around for the action and getting stronger so she can protect her world that much more.
The daughter of a world famous supermodel and an equally world famous actor, Kirara Amanogawa is a rapidly rising star in the world of fashion modeling. Already well on her way to achieving her dream of worldwide fame, she also has the ability to transform into the Princess of the Shining Stars, Cure Twinkle a defender of hopes and dreams. Determined to be the best she can as both Kirara Amanogawa and Cure Twinkle she's beginning her first year at Crux Academy as another step on her path to the world stage. Even if career obligations have her starting a little later in the school year. Oh well, can't be helped.
Friendly, playful and hardworking, Kirara is prepared to make one heck of a splash at her new school. Crux Academy won't know what hit it.

Because engaging in hand-to-hand combat with a god in space apparently isn't enough for this friend of god. No seriously, the god of Earth is her friend. She's had a crush on him at one point. And the god she'd fought in space is his brother.
Rinko is a Wizard that has been on loan from Majika World. She is a skilled mage, and has gotten top grades in her world. She is unaware that her world is merely an illusionary world, but she is also a magician of considerable skill. Her primary magical power is the considerable power of her Phantom within her soul and channeled into the Magic Rings she wears.
Many years ago, Qrow Branwen was part of a team of magical heroes that challenged and managed to defeat a tremendous darkness and force it back before it destroyed the entire world. The darkness was defeated and light and hope lived another day... but not every story has a happy ending. The details are shrouded in secrecy but it is known that one member of the team lost their lives in the battle and another... vanished. The third retired from battling evil and that leaves only Qrow.

While the informal introduction to the academy she recieved wasn't the most welcoming, it was quickly proven that she wasn't just the average evil monster to punch. A voucher from a certain Human friend also settled any disputes against her.
Undyne is the hotblooded teacher this school needs; no-nonsense at first glance, but once her guard id down she's easily one of the more personable teachers on campus. and a giant nerd when it comes to anime. Still, as the former Captain of the Royal Guard, she can keep up with the best of her students. A necessary skill, as she started teaching the virtues of determination.
No one gets hurt in her classes. For the most part. She is liable to start impromptu spear-dodging sessions with her classes though. She's gone on record saying it's suppose to keep them on their toes.

The donnas of the Giglio Nero Famiglia have all always been magical women from the days of their founder, Sepira. Yuni, the tenth generation, is no different. Their Famiglia has always guarded the treasured transformation Rings, the Mare Set, but it's not through their power that Yuni can transform. Instead, through her own and as a member of the powerful Arcobaleno (the most powerful holders of Flame in the world with a pacifier acting as their item), Yuni transforms like her mother and grandmother before her.
For the good of her Famiglia and protecting the Mare Rings, Yuni will use her power! If in a... slightly morally gray way. Hm.
Yuni's grandmother and mother before her have both attended Nebulae, gliding by as not particularly world dominating but definitely excellent students in their own rights. Yuni is hoping to continue the legacy, even though she's a relatively new student to the school.
Lock is... well, nobody seems to know just where Lock came from, or how he came to be at the Nebulae Institute only that he's been attending for a few years now. He's not telling either, simply answering with a smirk and a flippant "Here and there" whenever it's posed.
On paper, Lock's performance at the school is only slightly above average but solidly at that point across the board though some observant teachers and students might notice the laid back ease and lack of effort that goes into maintaining these average grades. Especially considering the natural flare he has for spreading misfortune and trouble through Galactica. Or the way even experienced magical fighters have never really managed to nail him down even if they do defeat his creatures. Losses that he always seems to take in stride, smirking and casually departing after his fun is at an end.
Whatever the case may be, it's clear that Lock is considerably more formidable than he lets on and may one day be a powerful player for the forces of darkness. Whenever he wants to start really trying anyway.
The seven-hundred-year-old vampiress, Evangeline McDowell, claims to have just one goal: Break the curse that leaves her stuck on the twin campuses. She teaches classes at both schools, and claims to be pure evil; the level of care she shows for students on both sides sort of belies this entirely, though. She tends to place great priority on expressing one's self at their most stylish.
Pretty much everyone at both schools has heard rumors about Evangeline; relatively few know her to be a vampire, but many have told stories of her little pranks and incidents. Push comes to shove, she's more likely to play the villain than the hero; however, when she does, she seems very specifically focused on testing heroes, rather than unleashing her full power to flat-out defeat them.
Do not call her Kitty, and do not screw with her room.

Ban's optimism throws the villain curb off a little, but a thing about him that is common and yet sometimes should be feared is that he's always hungry. Least favorite food? Doesn't exist for him. He eats just about everything and anything with his inhuman endless pit known as his stomach. So you definitely don't want his teeth or those nail blades to touch you or pulled magical human meat is on his menu tonight. Even with the stomach, his talents in musical magic is strong and still growing with potential. As long as you feed him with something else or don't threaten his beloved idol group, you should be fine in his book.
Regardless, he serves his group leader Bloody Master with an undying faith and while his actions may be gray in some cases, he will definitely give you a show. Whatever Bloody Master says, even if it goes against his school, he will follow. He's in his second year at the school.
A young man of great intellect from the sands of Shurima, Ezreal has enormous untapped magical power. He is seeking a Shuriman artifact known to have great power for reasons known only to him, and has aligned with Nebulae with the promise of their aid.
The Dark Adonis Vyers is a fabulous and beautiful demon lord who teaches aspiring villains the art of beautiful evil. Known for his distinctive laugh and middling power level dazzling fashion sense, Vyers is a dedicated teacher, albeit a bit of a dandy.
All those born in Labyrinth live to serve their ruler, Lord Moebius. Eas certainly isn't an exception to that rule, it's something she embraces.
From a young age she's always been extremely gifted when it comes to causing the despair and misfortune to her masters enemies. She's also worked very hard to maintain and improve those abilities. It was a surprise to no one that she'd be accepted to Nebulae and perform at the top of her class.
Once upon a time, a knight of light decided to steel her heart from the world. Denying anything and everything that made her weak, Lumina was born from the precious innocence that the knight wantonly tossed aside. Hers was a lonely, miserable existence at first, rejected and left adrift amidst the chaos, utterly abandoned without a friend in the world. But she found, after a bit of drifting, that she was not, in fact, alone, and that she had the unique and interesting ability to be able to mold the chaos to her will, within reason.
Whether the institute found her, or she found it is hard to say, but with nowhere else to go back to, and so many interesting people to befriend, Lumina snapped up the occasion to enroll. With a special affinity to monsters, she is less malicious as much as she is endlessly mischievous. She is a child's discarded innocence, after all.

While pleasant and amiable with his Master, Mio tends to be bristly, bratty, and even downright cruel to anyone he deems undeserving of his attention... or anyone he deems in the way of him and his Master. Ban Jumonji, a fellow member of RE:BERSERK is the most unfortunate receiver of such treatment. While his talents lay in musical magic and the dark arts, Mio is also fond of potion-making (namely love potions to use on his Master), rituals, and magical circles. He loves using others as guinnea pigs for his magic and potions too... especially Ban.
He's in his second year at the school, and spends all time, in and out of class, loyally at his Master's side when possible.

After winning ten tournaments in a row, Go fanatic Sion announced her retirement from the competitive scene due to a lack of challenges. She was then scouted to become a Dark Magical Idol by a sketchy mascot character; the concept of having a rival school appeals to her competitive spirit.
Sion loves the colors black and white and views the world in equally simple terms. She's not actually a bad person, just one with complete confidence in herself and an unshakable drive to excel. Her magical girl abilities are powered by singing, though she usually fights by summoning an army of adorable mascot pandas.
Sion is not as serious a character as she thinks she is.

Briefly driven mad with power upon defeating a tentacle monster, Konata got bored with being a magical girl and slacked around while ignoring the monsters of the week for the most part, and demoting her wand from its purpose of befriending lovecraftian monsters to a back-scratcher. Unless somebody threatens to attack the local manga store.
With her transfer into a new school, Konata Izumi is finally threatened with the propect of doing actual work.

He still holds to the old ways though and hopes to pass his wisdom down to a new generation of noble and good heroes, teaching many subjects although he specializes in history and astronomy, and although he's technically on the Crux Academy staff he has been known to take on Nebulae students who come his way wishing to learn. Despite his fearsome appearance, and an old, unspoken sin that weighs on his soul, he's quite friendly and good natured... after all, what dragon wouldn't be with so many lovely young maidens around? Especially those who appreciate his singing.
Just don't come around his cave looking to earn a reputation as a dragonslayer. He's still picking bits of Sir Eglamore out of his teeth.

Don't be fooled by Plague Knight's diminutive stature; he more than makes up for his small size with his delight in making incredibly large explosions (and his unerring accuracy with bombs, especially if he's insulted). A scientist with a taste for chaos, he views the students of Crux as potential reagents likely to react in all kinds of ways, and thus teaches the values of teamwork (...though very heavily couched in potion-brewing metaphor) as well as traditional alchemy. Though he might be fragile, he's in no way unused to the arduous work of combat.
Though he's been knighted for his good deeds in faraway lands, has turned over a new leaf in order to continue his scientific studies in somewhere that isn't an underground basement and was recruited as an alchemy teacher for this purpose, he really does seem more than a little out of place in Crux...

Michiru is capable of both offense and defense, and has powers based in moonlight, having inherited Cure Bright's powers after the finale. She isn't quite a proper Pretty Cure, but functions as one just the same. She's been attending the academy for several months.

Still, as the former Captain of the Royal Guard, she can keep up with the best of her students. A necessary skill, as she started teaching the virtues of determination.
No one gets hurt in her classes. For the most part. She is liable to start impromptu spear-dodging sessions with her classes though. She's gone on record saying it's suppose to keep them on their toes.

Instead, through her own and as a member of the powerful Arcobaleno (the most powerful holders of Flame in the world with a pacifier acting as their item), Yuni transforms like her mother and grandmother before her.

On paper, Lock's performance at the school is only slightly above average but solidly at that point across the board though some observant teachers and students might notice the laid back ease and lack of effort that goes into maintaining these average grades. Especially considering the natural flare he has for spreading misfortune and trouble through Galactica. Or the way even experienced magical fighters have never really managed to nail him down even if they do defeat his creatures. Losses that he always seems to take in stride, smirking and casually departing after his fun is at an end.
Whatever the case may be, it's clear that Lock is considerably more formidable than he lets on and may one day be a powerful player for the forces of darkness. Whenever he wants to start really trying anyway.

Pretty much everyone at both schools has heard rumors about Evangeline; relatively few know her to be a vampire, but many have told stories of her little pranks and incidents. Push comes to shove, she's more likely to play the villain than the hero; however, when she does, she seems very specifically focused on testing heroes, rather than unleashing her full power to flat-out defeat them.
Do not call her Kitty, and do not screw with her room.

Ban's optimism throws the villain curb off a little, but a thing about him that is common and yet sometimes should be feared is that he's always hungry. Least favorite food? Doesn't exist for him. He eats just about everything and anything with his inhuman endless pit known as his stomach. So you definitely don't want his teeth or those nail blades to touch you or pulled magical human meat is on his menu tonight. Even with the stomach, his talents in musical magic is strong and still growing with potential. As long as you feed him with something else or don't threaten his beloved idol group, you should be fine in his book.
Regardless, he serves his group leader Bloody Master with an undying faith and while his actions may be gray in some cases, he will definitely give you a show. Whatever Bloody Master says, even if it goes against his school, he will follow. He's in his second year at the school.

While pleasant and amiable with his Master, Mio tends to be bristly, bratty, and even downright cruel to anyone he deems undeserving of his attention... or anyone he deems in the way of him and his Master. Ban Jumonji, a fellow member of RE:BERSERK is the most unfortunate receiver of such treatment. While his talents lay in musical magic and the dark arts, Mio is also fond of potion-making (namely love potions to use on his Master), rituals, and magical circles. He loves using others as guinnea pigs for his magic and potions too... especially Ban.
He's in his second year at the school, and spends all time, in and out of class, loyally at his Master's side when possible.
